Mark “The Man” Wilson most recently was the Program Director and Operations Manager of NBC Sports Radio Detroit 1090 (now SB Nation Radio).  He also handled night time on-air duties as well as joining the national NBC Sports Radio on many of their network shows.

Wilson spent time in television sports with the likes of WILX and WLAJ in Lansing as well as WTVJ Miami, Florida and WJBK FOX 2 Detroit.  Numerous times Mark won the Best Sportscast award in Michigan from the Associated Press and Michigan Association of Broadcasters. The Michigan State University graduate was also a constant contributor to ESPN, ESPN Classic and CNN for years and was the long time local TV co-host of the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon.

He also hosted the Jud Heathcote MSU Basketball Show, handled analyst duties for Lansing Lugnuts baseball, play-by-play for Detroit Rockers soccer, called various prep sports for PASS and Comcast and did sports specials for WWJ-TV Detroit along with subbing in “The Ford Lions Report.”

Mark’s writing duties include penning a column for Real Detroit Weekly, Observer Eccentric Newspapers and online YourNews. com with video previews on YouTube.  Wilson has been writing since his high school days in the Chicago suburbs and in college at Michigan State University where he attended to play baseball.

Mixing in the radio with the writing and TV, Wilson was the co-morning drive host on WDFN before settling into a long run with WKRK-FM 97.1 in Detroit.  The night-time program went to #1 in the key 25-54 male demographic. Mark also did fill-in work with the Sporting News Radio Network which turned into Yahoo Sports Radio.

Following a stint in Las Vegas doing a night time sports and entertainment program on KLAV AM, Wilson returned to Motown to join the project at ESPN 1090 and “man” the airwaves from 7-10 PM.  On July 12, 2013 the station officially flipped from ESPN to the NBC Sports Radio Network and now carries SB Nation Radio.  With the updated “Parker and the Man” website and podcasts, an entire new generation and our past loyal fans can enjoy the next phase in Parker and the Man sports fun and frolic!
